FUNCTION
Once and for all

Pivots will begin to wear in all machinery and equipment. Even with close original tolerances, the holes in the lugs will become oval over time. The wear process will accelerate.

When the fasteners are tightened, the slatted sleeves are pushed down over the tapered ends of the axle, expanding parallels to lock the Expander System in the pivot.

With the Expander System in your machinery pivots the problem of wear belongs to the history books. The wear problem is eliminated. Double sided locking increases stability and safety. Fitting and dismounting is simple.

Eliminate line boring!

Traditional repairs mean high labor costs, downtime and in some cases, a replacement machine - and still, the problem will recur.

The Expander System is by far the easiest and most economical way to solve the problem of pivot wear. And best of all - it's fast and it's permanent. The double-sided locking insures stability and safety. Fitting and dismounting is usually done on-site.

The Expander System was originally designed to solve recurring service problems of pivot lug wear. More and more machine manufacturers are now realizing the importance of lowering the LCC (Life Cycle Cost) of their machinery. Pivot wear is a common problem that cannot be solved without than disassembling the machine and line boring the pivot lugs. This process is both expensive and time consuming.

There are many advantages to using the Expander System as an OE part. The tolerance requirements in the lugholes are minimized and there is virtually no risk of recall. Since the lugholes can be slightly larger than the axle, the assembly of the pivots is easier and faster. Still, the biggest advantage with the Expander System is that the problem of pivot lug wear will never occur.

The axle is hardened and ground to give the Expander System a wear resistant surface. The expansion sleeves, washers and fastening elements are treated with an anti-corrosion agent to protect against rust.
